TREE SEEDLINGS The Coffee County Soil Conservation District is now taking orders for tree seedlings that will be available to pick up Wednesday, March 10 at the office, 1008 East End Road in Manchester. Seedlings available include Cleveland pears, white and red dogwoods, red buds, flowering cherry, burning bush, yellow delicious and staymon winesaps. ROAD CLOSING A road construction project by Highways, Inc. will close the access off of Highway 127 to the Newt Vanattia Road in Hillsboro Wednesday, March 10 for approximately two months or until the completion of the project. CITY OF MANCHESTER WATER DEPARTMENT will be making changes to the ongoing Highway 53 project, Thursday, March 11 beginning at 8:00 AM. Consumers may notice reduced pressures and flows. Your understanding with this ongoing project is appreciated. Questions may be referred to 728.1273.

HUNTER EDUCATION COURSE sponsored by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, taught by Wildlife Officer, Tim Hancock, will be held March 15 - 18 at the Coffee County Middle School from 6:00 until 9:00 PM, Monday through Thursday with live firing on Saturday, March 20 at 8:00 AM. Students must be at least 9 years old to be certified, and must attend every night class. The course covers hunter ethics, responsibility, safe firearm handling, wildlife management and identification as well as basic first aid. NOAH HEAD START is now accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year. Applications will be on the wait list for fall enrollment. Center is open Mon - Fri 8 AM to 2 PM. This free fully comprehensive program provides skills for kindergarten. Vision, dental and developmental screenings are part of the program. COFFEE COUNTY RELAY FOR LIFE FUNDRAISER Schedule delivery of the Purple Outhouse to a friend or business in Manchester for a donation of $10 per delivery location. An additional $10 donation will "insure" that the Purple Outhouse is not returned to you.
